Ambler Lakeview
Ambler Lakeview represents the third phase of Summit's Transit Oriented Development (TOD) efforts located along the rail corridor in the Borough of Ambler.
Located within the Borough’s Redevelopment Overlay District, Ambler Lakeview is also in conformance with the Rail Corridor Redevelopment Plan as adopted by the Borough. As a result, the development concept for Ambler Lakeview will be entirely consistent with the goals and objectives of the Borough’s redevelopment vision.
HISTORY
At the turn of the 19th century, Ambler served as the headquarters for the Keasbey & Mattison Company (K&M) – the world’s largest manufacturer of asbestos building products.
Upon its closure in the late 20th century, K&M left behind a legacy of environmental contamination that has served as an obstacle to development.
REDEVELOPMENT
Ambler Lakeview is the third phase of the revitalization and redevelopment of the former Keasbey & Mattison manufacturing facilities.
Summit Realty Advisors has begun the municipal approval process for a 92 unit multifamily residential project, including studio, 1- , 2- , and 3-bedroom apartments.
